A Great Night

Tonight has definitely taken the cake for the best night of the week! Adam and I were able to spend some quality time together, just the 2 of us. It was so good for us to finally get some 1 on 1 time together without involving the phrases, “What’s for dinner?”, “I’m ready for the weekend!”, or “we need to clean this house”. First, we went to Old Navy to look around, then we headed over to The Q Shaq which is a BBQ restaurant and ate dinner, then we went to blockbuster and rented a movie. It was definitely a great night to share each other’s company.

Our small group leaders keep a blog and one of their entries was about their date nights and how we should also have date nights with our Lord. I read it and it is so true! You almost always have that everyday conversation with the Lord, but you should have regular date nights with Him to learn more about Him and to ultimately further your relationship with Him. I can honestly say that I am guilty of not having those “date nights” with the Lord and when I don’t, it is totally apparent in my life! Praise the Lord that our Father is a God of many chances and one who shows His mercy on us. Thank you Lord.
